Injection mould tools are the heart of your production line. Wear, damage, corrosion or a lack of maintenance leads to flash, short shots, inconsistent parts and unplanned downtime. Sabre Plastics Tooling Ltd provides a complete injection mould tool service and repair facility from our toolroom in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, restoring tools to full working condition quickly and cost-effectively so you can keep moulding.
We work on tools of all sizes and from any toolmaker, whether or not Sabre originally built them. Collection and delivery can be arranged across the UK, and we are 30 minutes from London and central to the motorway network.

- Cooling channel inspection and descaling
- Parting line and shut-off refitting
- Alignment correction and guide element replacement

Vapour Blasting Restoration for Rusted & Water-Damaged Mould Tools
Tooling that has been stored badly, suffered a coolant leak or been through a flood often arrives with heavy rust and contamination. Using our in-house vapour blasting process, Sabre can restore corroded and water-damaged mould tools without the aggressive material removal of dry blasting.
Vapour (wet) blasting combines fine media with water at controlled pressure, lifting rust, scale and residue while preserving fine detail, sharp edges and critical dimensions. The result is a clean, uniform satin finish that significantly improves both the condition and the appearance of the tool, and gives our toolmakers a clear surface to inspect for any underlying damage before the tool goes back into service.
- Rust and corrosion removal from cavities, cores, bolsters and plates
- Removal of burnt-on plastic, gas staining and outgassing deposits
- Surface preparation before polishing, texturing or coating
- Cosmetic restoration of tools being returned to service or transferred
